Building Services Technician in Facility Management

Building services technician in facility management at BioNTech in Mainz. Full-time. The position is limited to two years.

• Inspection, maintenance and repair of building technical systems and equipment.
• In particular, coordination of external companies regarding scope of work, awarding, processing and acceptance or commissioning after maintenance/repair
• Supporting expert inspections and subsequent defect remediation
• Helping resolve critical incidents that affect laboratory operations or building safety
• Support with arrangements and technical supervision of work during planned maintenance shutdowns of laboratory-relevant systems.

• Training in a technical apprenticeship occupation (e.g. HVAC systems mechanic, mechatronics technician, electrician or similar)
• At least 3 years of professional experience and broad understanding of building services trades.
• Confident use of ERP systems (ideally SAP) and CAFM systems
• Resilience, flexibility, reliability and teamwork, as well as confident manner and independent work
• Communication skills and respectful dealings with contacts at all levels of the hierarchy
• Strong service orientation, quick grasp and ability to prioritize
• Willingness to work during emergencies outside working hours (on-call duty)
• Confident use of MS Office
