Master Thesis, R&D - WiFi Sensing Signal Processing

• Literature research on known and established signal processing methods
• Design and implementation of methods for signal cleaning, noise suppression and phase calibration, etc.
• Development of algorithms (signal processing or ML approaches) for robust detection of defined state and movement patterns
• Systematic benchmarking of the algorithms in terms of detection accuracy, robustness and computing effort
• Documentation of results and derivation of recommendations for later firmware integration

• Master's studies in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer and Communications Engineering, Technical Computer Science, Physics or comparable
• Knowledge of digital signal processing (filter design, spectral analysis, phase cleaning)
• Very good programming skills in Python (NumPy, SciPy), MATLAB
• Experience in statistical pattern recognition or machine learning
• Basic knowledge of Wi-Fi standards and radio transmission (OFDM, subcarrier structure etc.) as well as very good German and English skills
