Software Architect Planetariums with Focus on C++ and 3D Computer Graphics

## ## Your Role As a Software Architect (m/f/x) you will strengthen our agile team and develop attractive products in an extremely popular field around astronomy and design the next generation of 3D planetarium software. This software enables visual 3D exploration of the universe, demonstration of earth-bound astronomy and playback of audiovisual content.

• Participation in the development of software for image generation of digital projection on multi-projector systems, as well as control of devices used in planetariums
• Further development of software architecture and conception and implementation of components of this software using state-of-the-art methods of 3D computer graphics and efficient algorithms and data structures
• Project management and sub-project management
• You work in a small team with high visibility throughout the entire group and have plenty of room for your own ideas in shaping our products

• Very successfully completed university/university of applied sciences degree in computer science (Master or Diploma)
• Relevant professional experience, for example in an agile environment as a software developer in industry or science with proven experience in the design and documentation of software architectures ideally in the field of real-time 3D computer graphics and (sub-)project management in the development of medium-sized software projects
• Excellent programming skills in C++ (preferably C++17/20) and the C++ Standard Template Library as well as in-depth 3D computer graphics knowledge including the required mathematical foundations (terms such as Template, Lambda Function, Exception, RAII, Smart Pointers, Culling, Mipmap, Volume Ray Casting and Order-independent Transparency should not be foreign words to you)
• In-depth knowledge of at least one of the graphics APIs Vulkan, OpenGL (at least version 3.3) or Direct3D (at least version 10) including the respective shader language
• Solid knowledge of efficient algorithms and data structures
• Experience with development of Windows applications with Visual Studio, confident use of Git, solid UML knowledge
• Very good communication skills in German and English
