Apprenticeship as Electronics Technician for Operations Technology on the Rail Network 2027

As an electronics technician for operations technology, you are a very important part of keeping rail traffic running well. Starting 1 August 2027, we are looking for you for the 3.5-year apprenticeship as an electronics technician for operations technology (f/m/d) at DB InfraGO AG in Lutherstadt Wittenberg. The vocational school is in Leipzig in the Eutritzsch district, and the training workshop is on Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße, very close to Leipzig main station.

• You work outdoors on the rail network together with your team
• You get familiar with maintenance and repair of control and safety technology, such as signals, point motors and level crossings
• You learn to analyze and fix faults in operations technology
• You are taught knowledge of measuring, testing and diagnostic methods

• You have (soon) successfully finished school and your school leaving certificate is recognized in Germany
• Your German is at least B2 level (for applicants with B1 we offer an online B2 language course before training starts)
• You enjoy math and physics
• You are good with your hands and like tinkering with electronic components
• You are definitely a team player and reliable
• You also like working independently
