Apprenticeship Track Construction Worker (Gleisbauer:in) in the Rail Network 2027

From 30 August 2027, DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH is looking for apprentices for the 3-year apprenticeship as a track construction worker (w/m/d) at the Cottbus site. Training also takes place in blocks at the qualification center in Hoyerswerda OT Knappenrode and at the vocational school "BSZ für Bau- und Oberflächentechnik Zwickau". An apprentice residence can be used together with other railway apprentices. The selection process includes an aptitude examination.

• Construction site instead of office: You use real machines to make sure the rails are laid correctly
• Heavy machines: You become a pro with the cut-off grinder
• Teamwork and technology: With your track construction team you head out to the construction sites, measure routes, install rails and use the latest technology
• Variety: Checking equipment, metalworking, replacing ballast or starting new construction projects

• You have (soon) successfully finished school and your school leaving certificate is recognized in Germany
• Your German skills are at least at B2 level
• Sitting at a desk is not for you – you would rather work outdoors
• You are reliable and like to pitch in
• Changing work locations and working hours as well as night shifts are a welcome change for you
