About this Apprenticeship
As a train driver, you are an indispensable part of our team to enable our passengers to travel. Starting 1 September 2027, we are looking for you for the 3-year apprenticeship as a train driver (railway operator in operational service train driver and transport) (w/m/d) at DB Regio AG in Murnau am Staffelsee. The vocational school is in Munich.
What You'll Learn
- At the beginning of your apprenticeship as a train driver, you learn what you must observe to drive trains safely and punctually from A to B
- Should there be deviations or changes in train operations, you practice informing our passengers about them via the loudspeaker
- You also learn as a train driver how our trains are prepared and assembled for the journeys
- Step by step, you can then drive the trains yourself and your instructors are always at your side
Requirements
- You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) school and your school diploma is recognized in Germany
- Your German language skills correspond to at least level B2
- Even in difficult situations, you keep calm and maintain an overview
- You enjoy technology
- You like to take responsibility, make quick decisions, and are reliable and resilient
- Working on weekends and holidays is also fine with you

- Rent subsidy: We support you in settling into your new city! If you have to commute more than 2.5 hours daily from your previous place of residence and rent a closer apartment, you receive a rent subsidy of up to 400 € per month from us.
- Takeover: After your successful completion, you receive an offer for takeover at DB.
- Attractive remuneration: Depending on the apprenticeship year, between 1,324 Euro and 1,531 Euro per month plus Christmas bonus. * Remuneration amounts are valid from 01.07.2026. The employment conditions apply to the vast majority of apprentices in the DB Group.
