About this Apprenticeship
You will become a specialist for the maintenance, servicing and repair of our complex track construction machines (rail grinding machines, milling machines, tamping machines, measuring trains, locomotives, etc.) You drive our rail work vehicles to our construction sites and travel nationwide In the process you will get to know mechanical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems During the apprenticeship you will familiarise yourself with the programming, installation and testing of modern hardware and software components The creation of fault and malfunction diagnoses is also part of the tasks in your apprenticeship as a mechatronics technician In addition, we teach you how to professionally rectify defects
What You'll Learn

Requirements
- You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) school and your school diploma is recognised in Germany
- Your German language skills correspond to at least level B2
- You have manual dexterity and like to tinker in your free time
- Your knowledge of maths and physics is particularly good
- That you are reliable and a team player is a given, because that's what makes us
- You also work very precisely and like to get stuck in
- You are interested in working in shift and assembly service and are also willing to be on the road at various locations

- Attractive remuneration: Depending on the apprenticeship year between 1,324 euro and 1,531 euro per month plus Christmas bonus. * Remuneration amounts valid from 01.07.2026. Employment conditions apply to the vast majority of apprentices in the DB Group.
- Fixed contact persons: We offer you a practice-oriented and future-oriented apprenticeship with fixed contact persons who accompany you on your way.
- Takeover opportunity: If you successfully complete your vocational training, there is the possibility of being taken on by the company.
- DB Youngster Community: DB Youngster Community – Experience exciting workshops, cool events, community trips and much more with other apprentices and dual students.
