Train Traffic Controller Apprenticeship 2027

Three-year apprenticeship in train traffic control with DB InfraGO AG in Schweinfurt. Vocational school and required seminars take place in Nuremberg. You will work with your team in a signal box, controlling train movements and helping trains run safely and on time.

• Your colleagues show you step by step how to operate the equipment in a signal box correctly
• You learn when to press the right buttons to change signals or points that let trains switch tracks
• You are often in contact with other train traffic controllers, control centre staff and train drivers
• You are an important part of the team and help passengers travel safely and on time on our trains

• You have successfully finished school or will soon finish, and your school qualification is recognised in Germany
• Your German is at least at B2 level
• You stay calm and keep track of things even in demanding situations
• You enjoy taking responsibility and work with focus
• You work well in a team and are reliable
• You are willing to work shifts
• You will undergo a fitness assessment as part of the selection process for this apprenticeship.
