Dual Study Program Civil Engineering with Apprenticeship 2027

4.5-year dual study program leading to a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering with integrated vocational training as a track construction worker at DB InfraGO AG in Zwickau. Theory phases take place at Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal, practical work at DB InfraGO AG in Zwickau and in the training workshop in Königsborn near Magdeburg.

• You start with a 1-month practical placement to get to know the company and your department.
• You alternate between working with the track construction crews and working in the office.
• You attend vocational school and the training workshop and support colleagues on site.
• In the 2nd year you start your studies alongside the apprenticeship.
• During lecture-free periods you apply your knowledge in practice.
• You work in construction supervision and get insights into construction cost calculation and project management.
• You get familiar with track construction tasks, e.g. inspection, maintenance and fault clearing of tracks and switches.
• You are right there on construction sites, from surveying to quality control.

• You have (soon) successfully completed your Abitur or have an equivalent vocational qualification (vocationally qualified applicants must meet the enrolment requirements of FH Magdeburg)
• Your favorite subjects are math and physics
• You enjoy teamwork and have natural manual skills
• You look forward to varied tasks between office, planning and construction site with changing work locations and working hours (incl. night shifts)
• Purposeful and independent work is a matter of course for you
