Dual Study Program Electrical Engineering Planning with Apprenticeship 2027

Apprenticeship-integrated dual study program in electrical engineering at DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH. You start with a practical placement, then after half a year at university you alternate every 4 weeks between university and the training company, and complete your apprenticeship after about two and a half years. From the fourth semester you do the theory at Hochschule Zittau / Görlitz. After 10 semesters, about 5 years, you finish your studies with the bachelor's thesis.

• Supporting the planning of construction projects – your focus is on the electrical engineering of our rail infrastructure in the 50 Hertz range, such as interlockings, level crossings and lighting systems
• You get familiar with the tasks of an electronics technician – you learn how to check that our electrical systems, such as barriers, work properly and how to repair them in case of a fault
• You are not alone with us – fixed contact persons are always available, and depending on the practical phase you are often out in the open air with your team at our construction sites across Germany
• You are an important part of DB, because thanks to you our existing lines stay safe and ready for use and our infrastructure can be further expanded

• You have (soon) successfully completed your Abitur or have an equivalent professional qualification (professionally qualified applicants must meet the requirements for enrollment)
• Your favorite subjects are math and physics and technical relationships fascinate you
• Occasional assignments at our construction sites across Germany are a welcome change for you
• You are communicative and enjoy working in a team
• Goal-oriented and independent work is a matter of course for you
