Specialist Trainer Railway Operations

DB InfraGO AG is looking for a specialist trainer for railway operations, full-time/part-time and permanent, in Karlsruhe. You train apprentices and career changers on simulation systems.

• Run realistic practice situations with apprentices on simulation systems that are not possible in signal boxes
• Plan, prepare and carry out practical training for apprentices and career changers
• Create training materials and lesson preparation, and support and coach during exam preparation
• Teach confident action at the operations/technology interface and run regular learning trips for apprentices
• Work closely with junior staff coordinators, training coordinators, DB Training and the vocational school

• Trained railway worker in train traffic control or function-trained train dispatcher with work experience as a train dispatcher on ESTW or track plan signal boxes at at least two signal boxes (you are willing to acquire necessary additional qualifications)
• At least one of the two signal boxes must have train dispatcher tasks with complex infrastructure
• Successful competence-based selection process (per guideline 046.2578; structured interview and case study)
• High professional competence and excellent knowledge of applying relevant regulations, operational processes and train protection systems
• Teamwork, conflict resolution skills, very good communication skills, confident and reliable manner, resilience, commitment, independence and initiative
• Solid PC skills and curiosity about modern presentation media (e.g. smartboards, VR glasses)
• Willingness to work maintenance shifts as part of the train dispatcher role
