Inspection Assistant for Railway Signalling and Control Systems

Permanent full-time position with DB InfraGO AG in Cologne. You support acceptance inspections of railway signalling and control systems and carry out inspections, documentation and quality checks.

• You actively support inspection experts and specialist officers with acceptance inspections of railway signalling and control systems during maintenance and are responsible for acceptance inspections using standardized procedures
• You contribute to work across technical disciplines, including cooperation with specialist services, and carry out practical work on complex railway systems
• You prepare inspection reports and expert assessments and check the quality of the relevant documents
• You also check installed signalling and control components for compliance with planning, approval and release requirements
• You contribute to information and training events in railway signalling and control, as well as regional and central projects and special programs

• You have successfully completed vocational training in electrical engineering, for example as an electrician or an electronics technician for industrial systems. Ideally, you have also completed further training as a state-certified technician or master craftsperson in electrical engineering
• You have also successfully completed specialist training as a signalling mechanic and hold certification for standardized procedures (Kz 4), ideally with several years of experience maintaining railway signalling and control systems
• You work independently, have strong organizational and coordination skills, are flexible and are willing to work occasionally on construction sites at weekends, on public holidays or at night, with the corresponding extra pay
• You readily take responsibility, work well in a team and demonstrate confidence and assertiveness
• We will prepare you for your target role through a qualification program, and we count on your commitment
• You hold a valid category B driving licence
