Customs Operations Specialist

For its Customs Team in Stuttgart, DHL Global Forwarding is looking for a results-oriented CDZ Customs Operations Specialist (m/f/d). Permanent, full-time.

• You create import and export customs declarations in the customs system ZODIAK GE (DAKOSY) on behalf of customers
• You are responsible for thoroughly checking customer documents for completeness and accuracy
• You carry out active order monitoring and take action on deviations, such as rejections by customs authorities
• Using the system, you maintain an ongoing internal master database with customs-related material data
• You use modern IT functions to support order processing
• You communicate with customer contacts at various locations, customs authorities and service providers in Germany and abroad
• As part of quality assurance, you carry out random subsequent checks of customs declarations (post entry audits)
• You create invoices in CargoWiseOne
• As needed, you take part in business review meetings with the customer and handle preparation and follow-up

• Completed commercial vocational training or degree plus (initial) professional experience in customs declaration
• Affinity for IT and good knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel, ideally also DAKOSY and CW1
• Very good German and English skills and enjoyment of communication
