Apprenticeship as IT Specialist for System Integration

Mobility plays a high priority in our society. People want to reach their destination safely, comfortably, and quickly. Goods must be transported cost-effectively over short or long distances. The consequences of mobility are reflected in environmental pollution, accidents, and traffic jams, and they increase with the steadily growing volume of traffic. We face these challenges. We develop solutions for safe and efficient mobility of the future. The IT Management group, as part of the Project and Asset Management of the Institute of Transportation Systems, supports the other organizational units of the institute regarding the development and operation of the IT infrastructure. Tasks range from the administration of server and client systems to coordination with the DLR's IT provider, to the conception, development, and integration of new IT systems for research and development.

Technical consulting for institute staff; Procurement and support of workstations and servers; Documentation of IT infrastructure using software; Installation and optimization of new and existing IT technologies; Participation in the various specialized areas of the IT teams

Secondary school diploma (Sekundarstufe 1) with good grades in English, German, Mathematics, and Science and Technology; Good oral and written communication skills; High willingness to learn and strong ability to work independently and responsibly; Good comprehension and very good technical understanding; Reliability and thoroughness; Service orientation and analytical thinking; Team spirit and high sociability
