About this Apprenticeship
Permanent full-time role in central logistics in Karlsruhe, with hybrid working and a 37.5-hour week, starting immediately. You support projects throughout the business process management cycle, analyse and improve processes, and help put them into practice and improve them continuously under company-wide dm standards.
What You'll Learn
- Strengthen the focus on processes and support departments: Guide assigned process-related projects through the iGPM cycle, start further initiatives and help departments review and improve their processes independently. Help establish more professional process thinking in logistics and share lessons from projects with existing learning programmes.
- Identify, align and model processes: Help place processes within the dm process map, clarify process goals and document them in Signavio under company-wide standards using BPMN 2.0 in the dm GPM framework. Consider strategy, sustainability, data and risks together.
- Measure and improve process performance: Help departments manage process performance using suitable measures, identify opportunities for improvement and implement AI and automation solutions together with dmTECH, our IT service provider.
- Manage connections between teams and processes: Work closely with process management consultants at distribution centres, the dm process management network and logistics teams in the dmA subgroup. Review cooperation where processes meet and opportunities to align them, and provide methodological support for programmes or portfolios when needed.
- Put processes into practice: Use change management skills to support the introduction of new or changed processes and ensure clear handovers to those responsible for them.
Requirements
- Education and experience: A completed degree in Business, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Logistics or a similar subject with a focus on process management, or a comparable qualification, plus at least three years of professional experience. Experience in a retail company with a logistics focus is an advantage.
- Technical knowledge: Sound knowledge of BPMN 2.0. Ideally, knowledge of business process improvement methods and experience using AI tools. Practical experience with a process management tool such as Signavio is an advantage.
- Methods and analytical skills: A structured approach, an ability to see the whole picture, and confidence analysing complex relationships, figures, performance measures and reports. You focus on solutions and put your ideas into practice.
- Communication and teamwork: A respectful, confident manner, an ability to win people over to your ideas, and clear written and spoken communication. You enjoy working in teams across different disciplines and manage your responsibilities independently and reliably.
- Personality: A confident manner that inspires others to support your ideas. Your clear communication helps people support our vision.
