Sales Assistant, 20 hours per week, in 56727 Mayen

As a sales assistant at the dm store in Mayen, you advise customers and support sales. This part-time role involves 20 hours per week and runs from 15 November 2026 to 31 May 2027. Shifts are agreed with the store, Monday to Saturday between 5:45 a.m. and 8:05 p.m.

• Customer advice: Use your knowledge and a friendly smile to help customers and answer all their questions.
• Product displays and range organisation: Arrange products clearly, in ways that suit customers and make them easy to take from shelves, helping people enjoy shopping at dm.
• Customer focus: Make shopping at dm a pleasant experience through your openness and willingness to help.
• Passport photo service: Take passport photos for identity documents and similar uses according to biometric standards.
• Checkout: Keep the checkout running smoothly so customers finish shopping in a pleasant atmosphere.
• Picking express orders: Process incoming online orders and help prepare express deliveries for customers.
• Creating promotional displays together: Bring your creativity, ideas and organisational skills to sales promotions.
• Stocktaking: Count stock and place orders to keep products available in the dm store.

• Customer service: Your empathy, commitment and enjoyment of meeting people help create dm's welcoming atmosphere.
• Training and experience: You have completed commercial vocational training and already have experience in retail or another commercial role.
• eID activation for the passport photo service: Your identity document must have its electronic ID function activated so passport photos can be sent digitally from our stores to citizens' offices.
• Skills: You enjoy digital work and confidently use smartphones and similar devices. You also have an excellent command of German.
• Teamwork and motivation: You help your team keep the store running smoothly and agree working hours together. You stay calm under pressure.
