International trainee in commercial marketing

An 18-month international trainee programme in commercial marketing at Dr. Oetker in Bielefeld. You complete individually planned placements in national and international teams, including four to six months abroad. At the end, you work with your trainee group on a strategic question and present the results to senior management. Your permanent role after the programme develops during your training, based on your strengths, interests and opportunities within the company. The position is full-time with a permanent contract.

• Your start: You begin on 1 May 2027 as an international trainee in commercial marketing. After onboarding with your trainee group, you move straight into your first placement, contributing to daily operations and projects from the start.
• Your programme: Your 18-month trainee programme provides a clear structure with room for individual interests. Together with your contacts, you arrange placements that match your specialist focus and development, both in marketing and related national and international departments. Short introductions to areas such as field sales, production or the Oetker Group complement your programme.
• Your topics: You contribute your perspective and ideas and help develop our brands, products and processes. You also explore digitalisation and future developments, such as AI-based solutions and ways to improve tools and working methods.
• Your development and prospects: Each placement introduces you to new topics, teams and perspectives, and you take on increasing responsibility. You also develop your professional profile and discover which role will best suit your strengths and interests after the programme.
• Your international experience: You spend four to six months at one of our international subsidiaries. You work with the team on site, learn about other markets and working methods and expand your international network. You agree on your placement location with your contacts.
• Your network and support: You start with your trainee group and join our trainee community. A dedicated People and Culture contact, your buddy and a management mentor support you throughout the programme and are available to exchange ideas and discuss your work.

• Your background: You have successfully completed your master's degree by the start of the trainee programme.
• Your experience and knowledge: You speak fluent German and English, have an international outlook and have already spent at least three months abroad. You have gained initial practical experience in fast-moving consumer goods, for example in product or brand management, digital marketing, marketing technology, communications or similar fields, and are enthusiastic about marketing and food.
• Your approach and personality: You are interested in how specialist topics and business decisions connect, want to take responsibility and approach tasks in a structured way, using data and looking for solutions. You actively follow digital trends and new technologies and explore how AI can improve working methods and processes. You are ambitious, eager to learn and keep developing your skills. With your practical approach, communication skills and team spirit, you enjoy working with others and actively build networks.
