Become a trusted person. During the apprenticeship, you will master varied tasks because you and your team are responsible for the smooth business operations in the market. The customer is the focus: You are the contact person and important advisor – because you facilitate shopping and inform about our goods. Besides sales, you work in purchasing and warehousing and take on business management tasks in HR and accounting. You also participate in assortment design and marketing campaigns. You see: As a retail merchant, you are the foundation for the success of every single EDEKA market. Your apprenticeship lasts three years – but under certain conditions, a shortening is possible. After passing the exam, you are a retail merchant – a foundation for a rapid career and possible self-employment at EDEKA. During the training period, you go through varied fields of activity and with exclusive further training programs we push you to even more success, step by step. In addition to vocational school, you attend seminars – also for targeted exam preparation – which only EDEKA offers in this form and which pave the way for a steep career.
