You want to work with people, take responsibility, and learn something new every day? You master everything related to goods – besides sales, you also take responsibility in purchasing, ordering, and warehousing. You advise our customers as the first point of contact and are the first showcase of our philosophy: We love food. You operate checkouts, handle accounting, and advise customers on our services. You design sales-promoting product presentations and contribute to assortment design, marketing, and merchandise display. You control merchandise management processes and assist in personnel deployment planning. Your apprenticeship lasts 3 years. Under certain conditions, it can be shortened with good performance. Afterwards, you hold the Retail Salesperson qualification – a foundation for a fast career and self-employment at EDEKA. During training, you rotate through diverse areas, and with exclusive development programs we push you to further success step by step. You can specialize in areas such as "Procurement-oriented Merchandise Management", "Consulting and Sales", "Merchandise Analysis", and "Control and Management". Additionally, you can obtain the additional qualification "Fundamentals of Entrepreneurial Independence". Besides vocational school, you attend seminars offered only by EDEKA, providing valuable extra information.
