Business Developer in the Wind Team

As a Business Developer in the Wind team, you will identify and develop investment opportunities in wind projects, from the initial concept to readiness for construction. The role combines strategic analysis, technical coordination and commercial negotiation in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

• Identify new wind project opportunities through development from scratch, acquisitions of projects ready for construction or mergers and acquisitions, helping grow ENGIE Romania's portfolio
• Prepare investment proposals for internal development and investment committees, carrying out thorough technical and economic analyses for each opportunity
• Coordinate due diligence with specialist departments at ENGIE Group and ENGIE Romania, managing project risks
• Develop projects from scratch, from finding sites and securing land to readiness for construction, including assessing energy resources, analysing feasibility and helping negotiate contracts for equipment and services
• Help negotiate contracts to acquire projects or project companies alongside teams from different disciplines
• Manage relationships with internal and external consultants, ensuring quality and compliance with project schedules
• Prepare presentations for senior management on project development progress and actively explore the renewable energy market

• Completed university studies in a technical field and/or economics
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in one or more of these areas: business development, energy sector project management, electricity generation technologies, the electricity market, or mergers and acquisitions
• Basic financial knowledge related to managing projects
• Knowledge of and/or experience using specialist applications such as WAsP, WindPro or AutoCAD is an advantage
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong knowledge of project management
• Knowledge of risk management
• Knowledge of project permitting rules and dealings with public authorities
• Negotiation skills
• Fluent English
• Ability to perform in a complex, dynamic environment, manage several projects at once and work both independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of dedicated project management software is an advantage
• A class B driving licence is an advantage
