Well Technical Specialist

At Storengy, an ENGIE subsidiary specialising in underground gas storage and renewable gases, help develop well integrity standards under the Head of Performance Monitoring. Carry out well integrity studies and lead technical support for the owner during major well maintenance operations.

• Lead monitoring of the condition of Storengy France's wells and development of the multiyear well maintenance programme
• Provide support to the owner for the programme of major well maintenance operations
• Provide support to the owner for the programme of minor well maintenance operations
• Write specifications for well workovers within the major well maintenance programme
• Work with the well integrity specialist to develop well integrity policies for Storengy France's assets
• Write reference documents for wells and ensure their implementation at storage sites and correct use by Operations Directorate staff

• Make occasional trips to storage sites in France

• An engineering qualification and at least 5 years of recognised professional experience in drilling and/or completion engineering, ideally 10 years in gas infrastructure and underground storage
• Knowledge of geology and well construction, operation and abandonment
• Thoroughness, analytical skills and the ability to interpret results and summarise findings
• Independence and responsiveness when handling multidisciplinary matters, with the ability to propose solutions to difficulties
• Ability to coordinate across teams, explain complex topics clearly and share knowledge
• Confidence in spoken and written communication
• A strong interest in information systems tools
• Ability to keep up with developments in the field, including regulations, standards and best practices
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required
