Apprenticeship 2027 Chemical Plant Operator - Geesthacht

Apprenticeship as a chemical plant operator (Chemikant) at Evonik Operations GmbH in Geesthacht. On-the-job training takes place in Geesthacht, and theory is taught in blocks at the vocational school in Meldorf and the training center of Chemiepark Marl. Training lasts 3.5 years and starts 1 September 2027. There are no application deadlines.

• Monitoring and controlling chemical processes
• Maintenance, inspection and cleaning of chemical production plants
• Checking and operating valves, measuring and control devices
• Carrying out simple chemical tests for quality control
• Producing, processing and shipping products
• Carrying out various process engineering methods such as heating, cooling, filtering, etc.
• Following and checking quality standards with regard to occupational safety and environmental protection

• Good lower secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) or higher
• Fun and interest in natural sciences, especially chemistry
• Technical and physical understanding
• Good math skills
• Willingness to work shifts (rotating shifts)
• Enjoy working with digital systems and applications
• Care and ability to concentrate
• Enjoy teamwork
