Mandatory Internship Plant Engineering

Mandatory internship in plant engineering at SYNEQT (Evonik) in Marl or Wesseling. The position is limited to 3-6 months.

• Design: creating calculations and production drawings with a CAD system
• Work preparation: order costing, order intake, SAP order management and obtaining material and budget quotes
• CNC machining: insight into machining, CNC turning and CNC milling of individual parts to drawing on turning and milling centers
• Assembly: of support systems and plant components in the workshop as well as on construction sites
• Welding technology: insight into tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding processes
• Cutting and forming: insight into cutting and forming, e.g. band saw, metal circular saw, metal sheet shears (guillotine shears), metal and press brake, notching machine, nipple machine and hydraulic press
• Quality assurance/testing: instruction in and performing water pressure tests on pressure vessels and non-destructive testing by dye penetrant inspection

• Ongoing bachelor's or master's studies in mechanical engineering with above-average grades
