Installing, maintaining and repairing measuring, control and regulation equipment on electrical production systems and process control systems. Measuring physical and electrical quantities. Maintaining, repairing and testing electrical systems. Creating and expanding control programs and programming automated systems. Installing and initializing operating systems, bus systems and network technology. Optimizing ongoing production processes and eliminating faults. Organizing workflows and carrying out projects in electrical and automation technology. Theoretical training at Hans-Böckler-Berufskolleg in Marl.

Intermediate secondary education or a higher school-leaving qualification. Enthusiasm for innovative technologies and technical and physical concepts. Accuracy, manual dexterity and good finger coordination. Good mathematics skills at lower secondary level. Enjoyment of digital systems and applications. Logical thinking, care, concentration, a sense of responsibility, commitment and willingness to work in a team. Good color vision.

In the first year of training, you receive more than EUR 1,100 per month; the allowance increases with each training year.
