Consolidation Specialist

Evonik is a chemical company active worldwide. The Consolidation Specialist role at the Essen Campus covers preparing group financial statements under IFRS, consolidation and the further development of reporting processes.

• Help prepare monthly, quarterly and annual group financial statements under IFRS
• Carry out consolidation independently, including capital consolidation
• Analyze and assess complex accounting and consolidation issues
• Help with M&A projects from the group accounting perspective
• Contact person for subsidiaries, departments and auditors on consolidation questions
• Further develop and standardize group financial statement and reporting processes
• Identify and implement optimization potential through digitalization and automation
• Help with finance transformation projects and with the introduction and further development of consolidation and reporting tools

• Successfully completed degree in business administration, economics or a comparable field with a focus on accounting, finance or auditing
• Several years of professional experience in group accounting with a focus on consolidation
• Sound knowledge of group accounting under IFRS and capital consolidation
• Experience with SAP applications, especially consolidation and reporting systems
• Confident use of Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI or similar tools is desirable
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
• Strong IT affinity and interest in digital solutions and modern finance technologies
• Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as an analytical, structured and independent way of working
