Train Driver

As a qualified train driver with a valid train driver's licence, you ensure safe, punctual train journeys at FlixTrain from Leipzig (also from Halle and Erfurt) and support other routes nationwide when needed. You take responsibility for thousands of travellers and make sure sustainable rail mobility works every day.

• Independently run passenger trains, always compliant with the rules and safe
• Drive our trains from Berlin on the nationwide FlixTrain network
• Communicate reliably with the control centre, colleagues and passengers
• Ensure safe, punctual and economical train operation
• Take on preparatory and closing tasks to ensure operational readiness
• Support Flix in shift operations, including weekends and public holidays, within flexible duty rosters
• Actively contribute to positive and professional passenger communication

• Completed training as a train driver
• Valid driving licence TfV Class A+B1 or VDV 753 Class 3
• Very good German skills (at least B2)
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Willingness to stay overnight for assignments in other cities
• Ideally several years of experience in railway operations, preferably passenger transport
• Experience on locomotive-hauled passenger trains (ideally BR 193, BR 182) is desirable but can be trained afterwards
• An examination certificate for LZB and ETCS is an advantage but can be trained afterwards
• Knowledge of routes in your region is an advantage
• Strong sense of safety and responsibility, as well as service orientation and teamwork
• Motivation to be part of a sustainable mobility transition
