Qualified Train Manager at FlixTrain

As a qualified train manager at FlixTrain, you help passengers reach their destinations safely and reliably while providing excellent service on board. This role is for people already trained as long-distance train managers or conductors; career change training and apprenticeships are not offered.

• Oversee the safe transport of passengers throughout the journey
• Be a point of contact for passengers and provide excellent service on board
• Check tickets and help sell tickets on the train
• Assist with shunting and preparing and parking the carriages
• Carry out technical checks independently, including carriage inspections and brake tests
• Help create a positive travel experience for guests
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in service and operating processes

• You have completed a qualification as train staff, such as a conductor or train manager
• Ideally, you are already qualified to carry out brake tests and carriage inspections; refresher training is available, and you are comfortable using a computer
• You have very good German skills; basic English skills are an advantage
• Willingness to stay overnight: You enjoy long-distance rail work, travelling throughout Germany and staying away from home; Flix covers travel, meals and accommodation
• Willingness to travel: You can travel throughout Germany free of charge for work and personal trips
• Shift work: You are comfortable working different shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays
• You are focused on service, communicate well and maintain a neat appearance; even under pressure, you stay calm and keep track of what is happening
