Senior Network Engineer

As a Senior Network Engineer, you manage and develop network and security infrastructure. You work with architecture, security and application teams and are regularly present at the site in Stuhr near Bremen.

• Manage, configure and operate network and security components, particularly HPE Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet and Infoblox
• Design and further develop modern network infrastructure
• Work with architecture, security and application teams
• Integrate new technical requirements into existing infrastructure
• Support the automation of network processes with Python and Ansible
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Plan and assess new technologies, taking current security requirements into account

• Completed vocational training, for example as an IT specialist in systems integration
• At least 10 years of professional experience in network engineering
• Very good knowledge of managing and designing complex network environments
• Experience with Cisco Nexus platforms, HPE Aruba switches, Fortinet firewalls and Infoblox
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching, as well as VLANs, VRFs, Spanning Tree, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN and MPLS
• Knowledge of network automation with Ansible, Python and REST APIs
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with people involved in the work
• A strong sense of responsibility, an organized approach to work and enjoyment of teamwork
• Initiative, analytical thinking and an open, friendly and assertive personality
• You value working together on site and are regularly present at our location in Stuhr near Bremen
• Fluent German is essential, at least B2 level
• Good spoken and written English
