About this Apprenticeship
Shape the future of our transport management CORDES & GRAEFE KG is the heart of the GC GROUP, Germany's leading wholesaler for building technology. As a headquarters and service provider, we support around 150 medium-sized companies in Germany and 14 other countries with the necessary information, materials, and services. Do you want to not only manage logistics but actively improve it? In our transport management team, you will develop logistics within the entire GC GROUP strategically and practically. You will work closely with our locations and have plenty of freedom to drive sustainable changes.
What You'll Learn
- Analyzing, optimizing and continuously developing transport and delivery processes within the corporate group.
- Planning, controlling and accompanying rollouts for new logistical processes, systems and standards.
- Advising and supporting our locations on transport and logistics issues.
- Developing and implementing measures for the economic and sustainable optimization of the vehicle fleet.
- Conceiving, organizing and moderating workshops, training sessions and project events.
- Identifying improvement potential and implementing practical solutions to increase efficiency.
- Accompanying change processes and promoting a future-oriented logistics landscape within the GC GROUP.
Requirements
- A completed apprenticeship or degree in logistics, forwarding, transport management or a comparable field, plus several years of professional experience in the transport and logistics environment.
- Sound knowledge in the areas of transport planning, distribution logistics and process optimization.
- Experience in working with KPIs as well as with route planning, telematics or transport management systems.
- Analytical thinking, project management experience, personal responsibility, teamwork and assertiveness as well as communication skills, moderation skills and a confident demeanor.
- Willingness to travel within the corporate group and a high affinity for digital logistics processes. Nice to have: knowledge of change management.
