Apprentice Chemical Laboratory Technician

In this apprenticeship, you will learn how to test chemical and pharmaceutical products and processes. You will gain insights into quality management, preclinical research, and microbiological work. Around 40 apprentices and dual-study students receive personal support from the Education department and are prepared for their careers.

You will test chemical and pharmaceutical products and processes, examine the structures and properties of substances, and analyse medicines. You will work in quality management and preclinical research, as well as in microbiology. After your training, you will independently carry out test series and measurement tasks, record the procedures, and evaluate the results on a computer. In your second year, you can optionally obtain an additional qualification in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Very good intermediate school certificate or Abitur. Initial work experience through holiday jobs or internships is desirable. A strong sense of accuracy, abstract thinking skills, a high level of responsibility, commitment, motivation, and ability to work in a team. Interest in scientific work and enjoyment of working with people. Good German skills.

Collective-agreement pay including Christmas and holiday bonuses, subsidised pension provision, and special payments.
