About this Apprenticeship
At Gerresheimer, you will help keep the glass-processing operation running, ensure reliable plant performance and solve technical problems early. The three-year apprenticeship starts on September 1, 2027, in Essen and includes vocational school at the Glass School in Rheinbach.
What You'll Learn
- Maintain machines and computer-controlled systems for manufacturing glass packaging
- Learn about the composition and production of glass
- Learn metalworking, pneumatics and hydraulics

Requirements
- You do not need to be a technical expert yet. What matters is an interest in machines, enjoying practical work and wanting to understand how technical systems function.
- At least a qualified lower secondary school certificate
- Interest in technology, machines and equipment
- Strong performance in mathematics and physics
- Manual dexterity
- Careful and reliable working style
- Enjoyment of practical work and finding solutions
- Ability to work in a team
- Motivation to learn new things and take on responsibility
