Technical Product Designer

At NORD DRIVESYSTEMS, you develop and design components for our drive solutions in the Mechanical Development & Design department. Using modern CAD and calculation tools, you create robust, efficient and production-ready designs. You accompany your projects from the initial idea to series maturity and work closely with the Electrical Engineering, Production and Quality Assurance departments. • Create and maintain materials, parts and assemblies in SAP
• Control and monitor data entry along the SAP process chain and process technical data changes
• Coordinate with the specialist departments involved and ensure smooth interface management
• Technical elaboration of variant and special designs for gearboxes according to defined guidelines
• Clarify special measures and technical issues with Sales, Production and Assembly
• Create design, assembly, installation and detail drawings taking into account costs, manufacturing processes, tolerances and parts diversity
• Amend technical documents according to defined guidelines and in accordance with the change process of the QM manual, as well as develop complex special designs without existing guidelines
• Take on project management tasks in technical projects

• Completed specialised vocational training as a Technical Product Designer (gn) or a comparable qualification
• At least three years of professional experience in a relevant technical field
• Technical understanding of the structure of gearboxes including their options
• Knowledge of technical drawing
• Experience with 3D CAD programs, ideally SolidWorks
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
• Very good MS Office skills
