Apprenticeship Surgical Technology Assistant / OTA

For the training start on 01.08.2027, Helios University Hospital Wuppertal is looking for trainees for an apprenticeship as a Surgical Technology Assistant / OTA (m/f/d). The training lasts 3 years (2,100 hours theory / 2,500 hours practice).

• During your training, you become familiar with the diverse tasks in the operating room and in the functional areas (e.g. outpatient clinic, endoscopy)
• You acquire the required special knowledge, skills and behaviors
• After your training, you are responsible for, among other things, preparing, positioning and professionally caring for patients during surgical procedures
• You instrument, assist, organize and coordinate in the operating room and in the functional areas

• You have a lower secondary school certificate with a completed two-year vocational training, an intermediate school certificate or a (technical) Abitur
• You have medical and technical interest and a high level of concentration combined with a persistent way of working
• You stand out through your commitment, reliability and teamwork skills
