Operating Theatre Assistant

An operating theatre assistant is sought for the clinic in Vogelsang-Gommern starting on 2027-01-01. The role includes assisting with surgical procedures, preparing and following up procedures, and complying with hygiene and safety regulations.

Assisting with instruments during surgical procedures in various specialties; preparing and following up procedures, including instrument reprocessing; applying positioning and dressing techniques; completing operating theatre documentation and working as a circulating assistant; complying with hygiene and sterilization regulations; participating in on-call duties, continuing education and resuscitation measures.

Completed training as an operating theatre assistant (OTA) or comparable qualification in the operating theatre field; ideally several years of practical experience in surgical services; confident handling of clinical procedures; strong communication skills, an empathetic and patient-focused manner; excellent teamwork skills; responsible, reliable and structured working style; flexibility and commitment; proof of existing measles protection as required by law.
