Dual Study Program in Mechanical Engineering

You study at the university – we provide the practice. You rotate through exciting departments such as design, production, electrical engineering, service. You actively work on real customer projects. You apply what you've learned directly – whether in the workshop, in the office, or on-site. Whether training-integrated with an IHK certificate or practice-integrated – with us you get both: academic know-how and technical skills! This degree program combines studies with an apprenticeship in a recognized occupation. That means: you complete an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic in parallel and study at the FH Aachen. In the end, you hold two degrees – the Bachelor of Engineering and the skilled worker certificate. Theory phases at FH Aachen. Additional instruction at the vocational college in Jülich. Practical phases in our company. Total duration: 4 years (apprenticeship completion after 2.5 years). Here, three-month theory phases at DHBW Mannheim alternate with three-month practical phases in the company. The entire study period lasts 3 years, and you earn the Bachelor of Engineering.
