Clerk Import / Sea Freight

With the brands Holzprofi24 and Leondo, we operate leading e-commerce platforms for home & garden in Europe. We combine modern web technologies, data-driven online marketing, and powerful logistics to provide our customers with an outstanding shopping experience. To support our international logistics processes, we are looking for a dedicated clerk (m/f/d) Import. In this role, you will support our team in the operational handling of our sea freight imports from Asia and ensure that our goods move smoothly from the seaport to our warehouses.

Operational support and booking of sea freight imports (focus: Asia/China) in close coordination with the team; Assistance in obtaining freight rates and communication with freight forwarders; Organization and monitoring of onward transport from the port of arrival to our warehouses (truck, rail); Coordination of container deliveries and close exchange with our warehouse logistics; Preparation of documents for customs clearance and transmission of customs instructions; Assistance in classification of goods (HS codes/customs tariff numbers); Daily written and telephone correspondence with international suppliers and freight forwarders; Maintenance of import-related data in the ERP system and verification of freight and customs invoices

Completed commercial apprenticeship, ideally in forwarding, wholesale and foreign trade, or logistics; First to several years of professional experience in import processing (preferably sea freight/Asia); Basic knowledge of container logistics and customs clearance; Good English written and spoken for daily international communication; Reliable, accurate, and structured way of working; Team spirit and enjoyment of operational problem-solving in daily business; Proficient in MS Office and ideally first experience with an ERP system (e.g., MS Dynamics NAV / Business Central)
