Team Leader Corporate Tax

HUGO BOSS is looking for an experienced leader as Team Leader Corporate Tax in its Group Finance & Tax department in Metzingen. You will own key group tax topics end to end, with a focus on Tax Reporting & Accounting, Corporate Income Tax and Employment Tax. You will be a sparring partner to the Head of Global Tax and the central interface to Finance, Accounting, HR, auditors and external advisors.

• Professional and disciplinary leadership and development of a multidisciplinary tax team of 6 tax experts
• Promote a collaborative high performance culture, support employees' professional development and coach on complex tax and accounting questions
• Ensure high-quality group tax reporting under HGB/IFRS on a quarterly and annual basis
• Calculate and analyze current and deferred taxes, track the effective tax rate (ETR) and prepare tax disclosures
• Central contact for external auditors on tax-related questions in the group audit
• Overall responsibility for implementing and complying with Pillar Two requirements, including reporting
• Ensure technically sound implementation, robust processes and close coordination with Finance and external advisors
• Work closely with the Senior Tax Managers and teams in Corporate Income Tax and Employment Tax, provide disciplinary leadership, steer across areas, ensure tax compliance and develop governance, processes and reporting
• Continuously optimize tax processes, data flows and control frameworks
• Trusted business partner for Finance, Controlling, Investor Relations, Legal and HR; translate complex tax matters into clear decision bases for management

• Completed degree in business administration, economics, finance, tax law or a comparable qualification
• Successfully passed tax advisor exam
• At least 7–10 years of professional experience in a corporate tax environment or in a Big 4 tax advisory/audit firm
• Initial experience leading teams or managing complex, cross-functional projects, combined with a strong people development mindset and the ability to manage several topics in parallel in a structured way
• Very solid knowledge of HGB and IFRS with practical experience in tax accounting, deferred taxes, group tax reporting and corporate income tax (including preparing tax returns)
• Knowledge of Pillar 2 regulation and global minimum taxation requirements
• Experience with tax reporting tools (e.g. GTC) and ERP systems (SAP) desirable
• Very strong analytical skills, high awareness of quality and detail, and a proactive attitude toward process improvement and digitalization in a dynamic environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex tax matters convincingly and appropriately for the audience, in German and English
