Apprenticeship as a Structural Engineering Drafter

This practical apprenticeship offers varied tasks in civil engineering. As a structural engineering drafter, you will use modern CAD software to create precise 2D drawings and 3D models for construction projects.

You will work on varied tasks in bridge and tunnel construction, flood protection and steel construction; learn scale-accurate 2D drafting and 3D modeling with CAD software; create floor plans, sections, details, elevations, formwork plans and reinforcement plans together with civil engineers; and acquire basic knowledge of structural analysis.

Intermediate secondary school certificate or university of applied sciences entrance qualification or general higher education entrance qualification; spatial awareness and technical understanding; interest in numbers and measurements; strengths in mathematics and basic natural sciences; good observation and comprehension skills; open and team-oriented personality; commitment, precision and care.
