About this Apprenticeship
In Kaufland's high school graduate programme, you first complete retail sales training and then further training as a retail management specialist. You also obtain an instructor qualification and can take on management responsibility.
What You'll Learn
- Manage merchandise processes from ordering through to sales
- Help create a positive customer shopping experience
- Take responsibility for a merchandise area
- Support staff scheduling and inventory
- Help analyse business figures such as store sales
Requirements
- Abitur or advanced technical college entrance qualification completed or nearing completion
- Interest in ordering, selling and learning about food products
- Enjoyment of interacting with people and strong communication skills
- Highly motivated and reliable
- Flexibility around store opening hours
What Kaufland Dienstleistung GmbH & Co. KG offers
- At least €1,350 gross per month during the first six months, at least €1,500 gross per month from months 7 to 18, and above-tariff pay from month 19
- Holiday and Christmas bonuses plus six weeks of annual leave
- Three qualifications in three years
- Accommodation and meals during the school phase covered
- Good chances of permanent employment and possible promotion to head of a merchandise area
- Bonus for successfully completing the training
- Personal trainer, comprehensive exam preparation, events, competitions and discounts
- The programme includes varied merchandise processes, management responsibility, staff scheduling, inventory and business performance analysis
