Apprenticeship as Nursing Assistant - 2027

Around 2,000 employees in about 80 professions are employed in the clinic company. It consists of the Heidenheim Hospital, the Medical Care Center, and Servizio Heidenheim GmbH. Recognized as an academic teaching hospital of the University of Ulm with 15 specialist clinics, 2 institutes, 10 organ and treatment centers, and 6 MVZ specialist areas, the clinic company ensures outpatient and inpatient healthcare. It is one of the largest employers and service companies in the East Württemberg region. Your apprenticeship starts on April 1, 2027, full-time. The duration of the apprenticeship was previously one year; due to a nationwide legal regulation, the apprenticeship duration will increase to 18 months.

Practice and school at just one location: at least 850 hours of practical training directly at Heidenheim Hospital, at least 700 hours of theoretical instruction at the clinic's own vocational school; 12-month training in generalist nursing assistance: fundamentals of applied nursing science, nutrition, hygiene, first aid, and professional ethics; care of patients in inpatient acute and long-term care settings; independent basic care activities (support with body care, food intake, etc.) and mobilization of patients; treatment care under supervision (subcutaneous injections, blood pressure checks, ointments/wraps, medication monitoring and administration, etc.); professional documentation; housekeeping activities; getting to know different wards (surgical, internal medicine/conservative wards, etc.); intensive support from experienced practice instructors; trusting collaboration in the team, with doctors, and nursing staff; after successful completion: opportunity for further qualification as a nursing specialist (m/w/d); opportunity to complete a voluntary social year or federal voluntary service before the apprenticeship

Hauptschulabschluss (lower secondary school leaving certificate) or equivalent school leaving certificate; minimum age: 17 years; medical certificate of fitness; complete measles protection; enjoyment in dealing with people, patience, and empathy; commitment and team spirit; proof of your B2 language level (minimum grade: good); certificate recognition from a German regional council
