Apprenticeship Process Technologist Metal

Your tasks include charging the electric arc furnace as well as taking and evaluating samples to ensure the desired steel quality. In the process, you learn steel production and precise casting into the appropriate molds. You work practically both independently and in a team – variety is guaranteed. The first year of your 3.5-year apprenticeship is spent at the vocational training center in Remscheid alongside vocational school lessons. There you will be taught the basic knowledge of your apprenticeship.

• You have at least a good lower secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) or intermediate secondary school certificate (Realschulabschluss).
• Mathematics, chemistry, and technology inspire you and spark your interest.
• Spatial imagination, manual dexterity, and teamwork are among your strengths.
• Even at high temperatures, you remain concentrated and careful.
• Since the vocational school is located in Hagen, a certain degree of mobility is required.
