Job advertisement In the Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Traffic (NLStBV), in the regional business area Nienburg, two apprenticeship positions for the occupation of Road Maintenance Worker (f/m/d) (apprenticeship relationship according to TVA-L BBIG) are to be filled as of 01 August 2027. The apprenticeship position is generally available at all road maintenance depots in the regional business area Nienburg and will be assigned based on the selected applicant's proximity to their residence. What to expect: The area of responsibility of road maintenance workers (f/m/d) includes, among other things, the following activities: Road maintenance workers inspect traffic routes for damage, maintain them and keep them in good repair. They remove dirt, repair road surfaces, maintain green areas, clean and maintain drainage facilities, secure construction sites and accident sites and set up traffic signs. In winter they also take on the clearing and gritting service. Structure of the training: The vocational training lasts 3 years. The in-company training takes place at a road maintenance depot in the business area, which could be: Diepholz, Bassum, Lemke, Uchte or Vilsen. In addition, inter-company training is provided at the Training Center of the Lower Saxony Construction Industry in Mellendorf, the Bau ABC in Rostrup and the Lower Saxony Forestry Education Center in Münchehof. Vocational school instruction is given at the Vocational Schools Cadenberge (Cuxhaven district) in block teaching. Further components of the training are the acquisition of the driving license classes C/CE as well as qualification to operate brush cutters and chainsaws and qualification to operate industrial trucks and earthmoving machinery.
