Dual Study Program in Civil Engineering

The study program starts annually on October 1. Theory and practice alternate every three months at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Mosbach and at the district office Ostalbkreis. During the practical training, knowledge is imparted in the following areas: either in building construction and property management in Aalen, or in road and civil engineering in Ellwangen. Please indicate in your application which area you are interested in or whether both are possible. Note the different locations. At the end of the program, a bachelor's thesis is written. Upon successful completion, the academic degree 'Bachelor of Engineering' is awarded.

Abitur or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification with passed academic aptitude test; enjoyment of technical, mathematical, and physical questions; high willingness to perform and resilience.

The district office Ostalbkreis offers the specialization 'Public Construction'. The program combines technical subjects such as mathematics, structural design, technical mechanics, physics, and chemistry with public planning and execution of construction projects. Additionally, essential content from business administration and law is taught. Students can expect an exciting and varied dual study program at the district office. You will be actively involved and will plan and implement your own construction project during the practical phases.
