Apprenticeship as a Structural Waterproofing Technician, Structural Repair and Cast Asphalt, 2027

You will learn to protect bridges, buildings and civil engineering structures permanently from water and weather. The apprenticeship covers waterproofing work, joint sealing, bitumen membranes, plastic and liquid waterproofing, as well as drainage and protective layers. You will work with modern machinery and technology.

Waterproof bridges, buildings and civil engineering structures; carry out waterproofing work on bridges, tunnels, car parks and excavations; install joint seals and process bitumen membranes, plastic and liquid waterproofing; build drainage and protective layers and install joint profiles and sealing tapes.

Manual skills, enjoyment of physical work and technical processes, willingness to work outdoors, technical interest, ability to work in a team and reliability, plus German language skills of at least B2.

Training pay from €1,122 in the first year up to €1,610 in the third year; holiday allowance, 13th monthly salary and profit sharing; monthly travel allowance of €60, driving licence subsidy and free driving safety training; personal laptop; discounted fitness offers; trainee meetups, trips and social projects; accommodation costs covered, additional meal allowances and company pension.
