Product Software Architect Cyber Security Functional Safety

Liebherr-Mischtechnik GmbH in Bad Schussenried develops and manufactures high-quality machines and plants for concrete production. The role involves developing safety and security architectures for control and automation systems of mobile work machines.

• Developing and further developing safety and security architectures for control and automation systems of mobile work machines
• Analyzing safety-relevant requirements and carrying out risk, hazard and threat analyses
• Deriving and specifying technical requirements from legal, normative and customer-specific specifications
• Designing and evaluating functional safety and cyber security measures for embedded controllers across the whole product lifecycle
• Helping implement requirements from ISO 13849, IEC 61508, ISO 21434 and comparable standards
• Carrying out architecture, design, safety and security reviews and supporting verification and validation of safety- and cyber-security-relevant software functions
• Creating and maintaining safety concepts, risk analyses and technical documentation
• Coordinating safety and security concepts with departments, customers, suppliers and development partners
• Helping with audits, assessments and the further development of methods, standards and development processes
• Working within the Liebherr Group on specialist topics in safety-relevant software and cyber security

• Successfully completed degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in developing complex embedded software and in designing software architectures
• Good knowledge of functional safety (e.g. ISO 13849, IEC 61508), cyber security (e.g. IEC 62443, ISO/SAE 21434),
• Experience with model-based development methods (UML, SysML, Matlab/Simulink) and modern development processes
• Knowledge of common communication systems such as CAN, CANopen, J1939 or Ethernet-based networks
• Structured, analytical and independent way of working
• Strong communication and teamwork skills and confident demeanor
• Good German and English skills, written and spoken
