Care Assistant for the LVR Donatus School in Pulheim - Focus on Physical and Motor Development

As a care assistant at an LVR special school, you support students with special needs in everyday school life. You help with daily care and basic nursing, in lessons and during organized leisure time. The work focuses on supportive care of different children in school operations and is characterized by interdisciplinary teamwork. Vacation can only be taken during school holidays.

• Basic care tasks such as feeding, toilet training and nursing support for students
• Support of order and cleanliness systems in care
• Support in everyday life of the classes in which severely disabled students are cared for

• Sensitivity in dealing with students with disabilities is second nature to you
• Ideally you already have work experience in the care of children and young people
• You may even already have knowledge of hygiene
• You are not put off by taking on responsibility
• Your flexibility lets you react confidently to changing priorities
• Your resilience keeps you efficient and focused in stressful situations
• Through your teamwork you foster a positive atmosphere and actively support colleagues in the successful care of the children
• You speak German (proven by a German school diploma, a B2 certificate or an integration course certificate) and can communicate clearly and precisely with children and young people with and without speech disorders
• Before signing an employment contract, proof of sufficient measles protection must be provided (unless you were born before 1971 or are demonstrably not subject to the legal vaccination requirement)
