Inside Sales Representative

As an inside sales representative at METRO in Karlsruhe, you are the first contact for regular customers and advise them by phone on the range and services. Together with field customer management, you are responsible for customer loyalty and the sales targets of your area.

• Phone support for top regular customers
• Order processing and support of delivery customers, working closely with regional delivery sites
• Customer advice on gastro service solutions and promotional products
• Strategy planning with the field team to reach sales targets
• Regularly reviewing measures for success and developing improvements
• Teamwork with field customer managers, the wholesale market and delivery

• Training: ideally a completed commercial apprenticeship (office management clerk, wholesale merchant) or alternatively gastronomy experience, e.g. as restaurant or hotel specialist or cook
• Career changers are very welcome
• Ideally first experience in sales/telephone sales (inbound and outbound), a passion for food and confident use of MS Office
• Sales talent: strong communicator with a sales flair and networking skills
• Customer orientation: friendliness, customer, service and quality focus and the ability to adapt quickly to the person you are talking to
