Apprenticeship as a Retail Management Specialist in the University-Entrant Program

The university-entrant program combines a retail apprenticeship with advanced training as a retail management specialist. Over three years, participants earn three IHK qualifications and take on leadership responsibilities at an early stage.

• Work in all departments of the store
• Sell products and maintain merchandise
• Plan, manage and monitor store operations
• Provide friendly, service-oriented customer advice
• Take on leadership responsibilities at an early stage
• Complete the theory component in block classes
• Earn three IHK qualifications in three years: Retail Salesperson, Trainer Aptitude Certificate and Retail Management Specialist

• Advanced technical college entrance qualification or Abitur
• Good knowledge of German and mathematics
• Interest in business operations
• Enjoyment of direct customer contact
• Independence, reliability and strong commitment
• Interest in taking on leadership responsibility
