Dual Study Program - Trade Management (Bachelor of Arts)

Study and apply the content directly in practice! Start your dual study program with us and acquire sound theoretical knowledge to actively shape and optimize processes in everyday work. You have the choice of our six partner universities (DHBW Mannheim, DHBW Heidenheim, DHBW Stuttgart, DHBW Heilbronn, DHGE Eisenach, and HWR Berlin), and you decide on your preferred university during the application process. The framework conditions: You work five days a week in various shifts within our opening hours (Monday to Saturday). You attend your chosen partner university in blocks to acquire the necessary theoretical knowledge and prepare well for exams. Trade knowledge – You intensively familiarize yourself with the areas of sales, assortment, and processes to build broad trade knowledge. Customer consulting – Competent consulting of our customers on-site in the store and handling of digital customer inquiries. Operational support – You actively support our department heads in daily tasks and directly contribute to the store's success. Further education – Use the diverse further education opportunities we offer at OBI to continuously expand your knowledge. Contribute ideas – Actively bring in your own ideas, because we meet at eye level and value your opinion. Independent working style – You work independently on your tasks while maintaining close exchange with store management. Practical projects – You gain valuable experience in our apprentice project week or in our two-week apprentice store.

School diploma – You have successfully completed your (technical) Abitur by the start of studies. Commitment & Communication – You are open, committed, actively approach people, and shine together as a team. Sense of responsibility – Step by step you take on more responsibility, are assertive and ambitious. Mobility & Flexibility – You are open to assignments in various stores in your region. Passion for trade – You have a great enthusiasm for trade; ideally you already have first experiences (part-time job/internship).

Attractive pay & tuition fee coverage – Graduated remuneration: 1,400 € (1st year), 1,800 € (2nd year), 1,950 € (3rd year) plus pro-rata holiday and Christmas pay; we cover your tuition fees completely. Mobility bonus – Receive up to 30 euros net per month, graduated according to your commute. The full bonus applies from six kilometers; for shorter distances you receive a pro-rata subsidy.
