Job advertisement: In the Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Traffic, in the Wolfenbüttel Regional Business Area, several training positions for the recognized training occupation of road maintenance worker (m/f/d) are to be filled starting 01.08.2027. The training positions are expected to be located at the road maintenance depots in Ilsede, Schöppenstedt, Vorsfelde, and at the base in Wittingen. What you can expect: The duties of a road maintenance worker (m/f/d) include, among others: control, maintenance, and upkeep of traffic routes; removal of contamination; repair of road surfaces; maintenance of green areas; cleaning and maintenance of drainage facilities; securing of construction sites and accident sites; setting up traffic signs; winter clearance and gritting service. Structure of the training: Training duration of 3 years; In-company training takes place at the respective road maintenance depot. In addition, inter-company training is planned at the Training Center of the Lower Saxony Construction Industry in Mellendorf, the BAU ABC in Rostrup, and the Lower Saxony Forestry Education Center in Münchehof. Vocational school instruction is given in block courses at the Vocational Schools Cadenberge (Cuxhaven district). Further components of the training include obtaining the driving license classes C/CE as well as qualification to operate brush cutters and chainsaws and qualification to operate industrial trucks and earthmoving machinery.
